Pathology
Description of service
The Directorate of Pathology provides a full complement of diagnostic pathology disciplines to the Trust.
These include:
- Cellular pathology (histology & cytology)
- Clinical biochemistry
- Haematology & blood transfusion
- Microbiology departments
There is also a regional genetics service housed in the Kennedy Galton Centre.
Locations
Northwick Park and St Mark's Hospitals
- The cellular pathology laboratory is located on level 4 of St Mark's Hospital.
- The microbiology laboratory is located on level 6C of Northwick Park Hospital, above the pharmacy.
- Laboratories for: clinical biochemistry, haematology and blood transfusion are located on level 5C of Northwick Park Hospital, above the pharmacy.
Central Middlesex Hospital
- Laboratories for clinical biochemistry, haematology and blood transfusion are located on the second floor of Central Middlesex Hospital.
