Outpatients

If you are visiting one of our hospitals because your GP has recommended you see a specialist you will be given an outpatients appointment. This means you will visit an outpatient clinic for a few hours and then return home again, you will not stay in the hospital overnight.

When you arrive at the outpatients department, whether it is at Northwick Park, St Mark's or Central Middlesex Hospital (this will be started on your appointment letter) you need to register your attendance at the outpatient’s reception desk before you take a seat. It is important that you do register otherwise the doctor will not know you are waiting and you will not be called for your appointment.

Outpatient clinics are held for all different medical conditions. For more information on the department you are visiting, please go to the departmental page in the service A-Z.

For more information on visiting one of our hospitals please go to the patients and visitors section of the website.
