Northwick Park Dental Education Centre
Northwick Park Dental Education Centre offers world class Dental Courses for every member of the dental team in the North West of London and beyond.
NPDEC is a state-of-the-art education and training centre designed to enhance and further the skills and knowledge of the entire dental team. We are located within the education block at Northwick Park hospital which is a perfect combination to develop and support all of your leaning needs.
Opening in November 2012, the new high-specification dental education centre is dedicated to the task of training healthcare professionals, driving clinical standards and improving clinical leadership with the help of our dedicated dental team.
As a joint enterprise between North West London Hospital NHS Trust and the NHS London Deanery, NPDEC will be providing a wide range of Dental Courses for all postgraduate dental professionals, covering mandatory regulatory continuing professional development (CPD) courses alongside more innovating CPD courses which we hope will capture your imagination and of course improve the care you provide to your patients.
NPDEC was funded and built in a joint collaboration with North West London Hospitals NHS Trust and the NHS London Deanery. With this in mind the majority of courses run at NPDEC will be booked via the London Deanery’s CPD management and course booking portal, eWisdom www.ewisdom-london.nhs.uk
All courses available on eWisdom are free to view, but should you wish to make a booking you will be required to complete the quick and easy registration. Once your account has been activated, you will be able to book any course of your choice, as long as the course is relevant to your registered role i.e. dental nurse, general dental practitioner, hygienist etc.
All courses on eWisdom are fully verifiable and meet the requirements set by the GDC for your five year lifelong learning cycle. Each eWisdom account keeps a history of courses booked and attended, your course feedback and most importantly, your CPD certificates. Overtime if you have not already set a personal development plan (PDP) within your eWisdom account, eWisdom will start to prepopulate your PDP and this can be used to provide your cycle details to the GDC.
As well as the CPD courses funded by the London Deanery, we will be looking to host a number of open evenings to welcome local and not so local dental professionals to NPDEC, please let me know if you would like to be informed of these evening meetings.
It also goes without saying that we will aim to provide you with the highest standard of courses and with this in mind we will be looking to extend the CPD programme by running specialist training programmes, such as specialist in Periodontics. Again should you wish to be added to the mail list for such courses, do not hesitate to get in touch.
