National Breastfeeding Awareness Week June 24-30th 2012
To mark national breast feeding awareness week and to celebrate the increasing numbers of mothers who are breastfeeding their babies, health visitors, midwives, children’s centre staff and NCT breastfeeding counsellors will be on hand to meet local mums and parents in Harrow next week.
A stall and display will be situated outside Mothercare opposite St Anns shopping centre from Thursday 28 June to Sunday 1 July 10am-4pm. Information and support will be available during this time for all pregnant and breastfeeding mothers and their families. Alison Spiro specialist health visitor said “Breastfeeding is fun and convenient once you have mastered the skill and can help keep mother and baby healthy. It also helps mothers bond with their baby and can make parenting easier”.
There is lots of help available for parents in Harrow from professionals and staff manning the stand will be happy to offer advice and answer questions. More information can also be found at breastfeedinginharrow.org
