The London Kingsbury Lions Club visits the children’s ward at Northwick Park Hospital to deliver a cheque for £900.

The Kingsbury Lions Club is in its 21st year and over the years they have raised and donated thousands of pounds to good causes and children’s charities across the region.

This year Northwick Park Hospital children’s ward was lucky enough to be at the receiving end of the Lion’s donations. Mr Paresh Kotecha, the president of the club, said: “before we hold an event we like to know what we are raising money for and what our target is. I approached the children’s ward at the hospital to find out what we could help with. It was clear that £900 was needed for a new ear nose and throat (ENT) trolley so children could have their eyes and ears looked at by their bedside. We raised the money by holding a dinner and were delighted to have raised our target by the end of the evening.”

Maria Flannery manager of the children’s ward, said: “the ward is very grateful for the Lions kind donation”.
