Trust appoints new Director of Operations

Daniel Elkeles has been appointed as the Director of Operations to North West London Hospitals NHS Trust.

Daniel, who will be taking up the post in July, is currently Deputy Director of Operations at St George's Healthcare NHS Trust.

Daniel has a broad range of experience in the NHS having joined the management training scheme twelve years ago. He has also worked with Shell, Sainsbury and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Daniel worked in a number of service manager roles within the NHS before joining St George's Hospital in 2001. Here he worked in financial turnaround and across a range of services including cardiothoracics, surgery, theatres, cancer, neurosciences and medicine.

Daniel said: “I'm extremely pleased to have been appointed. I am looking forward to the many challenges and opportunities which lie ahead and to building on the achievements the Trust has made in the last year to develop services for local people.”

Chief Executive, Fiona Wise, said: “We are delighted to announce Daniel's appointment and look forward to him joining us in a few months time. Daniel has a broad range of experience in the NHS and will play a crucial role in helping this Trust drive forward improvements for patients.”

  • The current Director of Operations, Nick Hulme, will be leaving the Trust on 11 May to take up the post of Deputy Chief Executive at Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust which manages Amersham Hospital, Stoke Mandeville Hospital and Wycombe Hospital.
